We had come to this dry area . . . and we had paused in it and built our houses and we were slowly creating the legend of our life. Civil War Revisited, October 24 & 25, 2015

Conversations with Historic Figures, Cavalry & Cannons, Military Encampments, Battle Reenactments, Period Artisan Demonstrations

Take a Living History Tour through the Army and Civilian Camps

Visit period artisans  - weavers & spinners, lace makers, rifle, boat & broom makers, blacksmiths and quilters - as they demonstrate the skills and arts of    the Civil War era. 

Converse with historic figures including Abraham Lincoln, Jefferson Davis and Harriet Tubman 

Enjoy a tasty, Pardini’s catered meal from the Grand Mess Tent, available from 11 am to 8 pm on Saturday

Listen to the sound of fiddles and horns

Hear the moving Gettysburg Address

Watch historical entertainments

Experience the clamor and valor of a battle reenactment

Tour the historic Kearney Mansion

Sit around a campfire, or join in a dance!



Admission:  $10 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, 5 and under are free.

Tickets will be available at the Entrance Area on the day of the event. Cash only, please. There will be an ATM onsite.

Note: A tasty variety of sides and snack foods will be available to purchase on Saturday, but the Grand Mess Tent Meal will be the only full meal to purchase.



A selection of scrumptious food including pizza, chicken or beef tri-tip sandwiches, a child's hot dog meal, roasted corn, Kettle Korn, ice cream and tasty desserts. Enjoy a beverage with your meal: soft drinks, old-fashioned sarsaparilla, beer, wine, and ice-cold lemonade will also be available.
